Shader missing means just that. The Textures your trying to use can't find the shader for the texture. Would really need more information to help you. Its possible you installed GTKRadaint inside you main folder As I have herd this happening. Still if GTkRadiant can find the texture but it won't show up after compile Then most Probley your using a texture from a custom map or crossing a mp or sp texture. Some texture will only work in MP and some in SP. You can fix this by just unpacking the texture and changing the name and the shader name to your own and use it as a custom texture. Make sure in GTKRadiant you have shaderlist.text only checked as this will filter out all the unusable textures and just use the ones off the shaderlist.text located in your scripts folder. If you need more help Please post..........

OK, I don't have any Mapping tools installed since the big crash and I have a new job....... Plus I have been working with my free......errrrrrrr.....trial version of 3ds max 4.2 and Hope to get some simple models that are animated into RTCW. Bottom line is I don't have alot of time anymore.........

(NO TEXTURES)
There is a difference in textures and shaders. Textures are just that, grapics that are .jpg or .tga that you texture walls with and such. Shaders are special propertities that make textures do special things. Like any shader with the surface parm "Water" will make the texture a water texture or a surface param snowsteps will make snow fly up when shot at and give the snow crunching sound when walking on. These are not needed to make the game work but add atmosphere to the game......

Shaders................
Shaders are listed in the scripts folder located in your main directory. They normally represent a group of textures and have information that give textures special propertities. Like the liquids.shader........ in that file contains all the shader information that make the liquides work. Some shaders combine a number of textures to make one texture you use in GTKRadiant. So only the ones with the white border around them work as the others are used to make up the ones with the white border. The non-working ones will still be displayed in the liquids set but are not to be used as they have no special propertities.

Shaderlist.text (located in the scripts folder)

This is a list of shader sets that is used by compile and GTKRadiant. you can have a group of textures in a texture folder listed there also even if there is no shader information for the textures. This is to keep eveything neat in GTKRadiant and not display all the custom maps textures you may have, but will produce the error shader not found for the texture folder. This is fine and not to be worried about.

no textures.........
If you see it in GTKRadiant then you should be able to use it as long as you have shaderlist.text only checked in the texture options. The exception is that some are sp and some mp so depending on what mode you run you may or may not have the texture show up in final compile.
Bottom line.
not real sure what the problem is. I would need more information on what your seeing and what your trying to do. Make sure that shaderlist.text only is checked and make sure that there are no custom maps in your main directory. Just user made maps.......

GTKRadiant should have created a radiant folder in your RTCW directory with the other folder created in your main directory. Make sure you have your compile options set up correctly. I would use wolfcompile.

So explain in detail what you have tried and what the results are.
fun mapping.
