I trying to make a railroad...it's a hard work, particular when you try to make a curve. Have tried several techniques to get the rails right and have succeed best with bevels. First I make a bevel and then I thicken it (amount: 4), everything fine so far... But when I make copy on the first rail and put it by the side of first, the space are right on the start point but in the end they almost cross each other, can correct it if I use "Drag Verticles" but that method take a he** of lot of time... I know, it's about the radious of the bevel...but is it an simplier way to do it? I mean, can you first make two straight rails and the bend both at the same time...?

i wouldn't make a bevel but just take a brush that's thick enough and then only drag vertices in a way that it fits to both ends. think this is less work than your method

edit: ok just tried it - forget this i'll try some things and tell you then ;o)

ok this is how i did it- i made a simple patch mesh (only 3x3) and then dragged the vertices so they fit to the ends of the straight parts and then thickened it. that's not much work at all...

Ok, thx!!!
I'll try your method and I agree that mine wasn't so convenient...
