Hello All!

This post could be considered a bit of spammage, or in the wrong forum section, but it seems to me the best place to grab the attention of you godly mapmakers :p

Battlefield Europe is an RtCW tournament that runs for 5 weeks at a time, playing two 12-hour battles per week. Each 12-hour battle usually plays two maps in rotation.

This tournament is army-based - by this I mean Axis vs Allies, so we are always looking for:

Balanced dual-objective maps
Reversed single-objective maps

The kicker is the second point - reversed single-objective maps. By this I mean all the team roles are completely switched around. This is *great* for Battlefield Europe, as it eliminates endless arguments about unfairness of maps for a particular team - we rotate the "normal" and reversed versions for real battles!

All of you people here (I'm a long-time lurker :D) have created some beautiful single-objective maps that I have not really encountered "out in the wild". If you feel able to do a "reversed" version of your maps, I can guarantee at least a place in a 12-hour test battle rotation, and possibly (if our Council votes Aye, a full battle).

I myself reversed Rummie's Mitchell Down map that he released .map file for (with his gracious permission) and it was a roaring success.

If you are interesed in this, please post here or email me letene@battlefieldeurope.org. Visit the website at www.battlefieldeurope.org for full information on what this is about. This is a 100% free tournament, and NOT-FOR-PROFIT - we are not leeches on your work.

We regulary fill our chosen battle server (we have a US & a Euro one - the Euro one is the old EU Konijin server which some might know ;)) with 32 people for a full 12-hour period, so your map could see some hell going down \o/.

Thanks for reading this, and (hopefully) forgiving a pimp!!

Have a look at my map Anzio Invasion on the other thread. It is dual capture objective and may work for you. It has pretty good rspeeds and should be fairly well balanced.

Det said something about missing textures so if you want to use it I will track down any the problems and fix them.

A very good question - the answer is ME! :D

Not really, heh heh. The campaign is a multi-national thing, we have roughly 50/50 North American & European players so the ebb & flow of players coming on the server over the course of the 12 hours works nicely. We currently have about 70 active players, and with the server being 15-a-side teams (+ 2 specs) it works out nicely. Average playing time by people is about 3 to 5 hours, and that's not neccessarily all in one stint. Some play for an hour, have a break & then come back.

Of course, we DO have the hard-core one or two who play for the full 12 hours...I've done it myself with a crate of beer and some, er, "other" recreation to help me along ;)
