Good Day to you All,

Help!!!! I’v been mapping for ET for a few hours and I’m doing something WRONG. Iv can be bothered to work it out what my self, and I know for sure that reading the manual will help, but I’m just to damn lazy/thick/stupid (insert as appropriate) to read it up my self.
In the time Iv typed this post I could have probably found the answer by reading a few tutorials or use the search utility at the top right of the screen.
SO WILL SOME ONE PLAESE TELL ME WHAT IM DOING WRONG!!!
Whenever I compile my map (read as only tried once and not to hard either), it looks like this:

Any ideas????

On a more silly note what’s the thickest ET mapping question you have seen of late?

This was at SD

“What’s a brush?”

1st of all i see notting what the 1st reply has to do with the problem

2nd i see no problems with the map...

and 3rd why is this in spam... im really confused

but im gonna answer a question and i dont even know if its solving the problem

If you want to be able to run your map, youll need to indicate the dimensions of it because ET seems to not be able to load without knowing the dimensions (this is used in the little compass to indicate your position). There's something else you need to be aware of, its that the dimensions you'll enter have to make something perfectly square.
There are 2 keys/values to indicate this to ET: select a brush that is not an entity and press N. This will take you to a window that will let you edit the worldspawn parameters. In this window, enter the following key/values:
mapcoordsmins: these are the (x,y) coordinates of the top left of your square
mapcoordsmaxs: these are the (x,y) coordinates of the bottom right of your square

In the key field in the entity editor, type in mapcoordsmins. Then hit tab or click in the value field. For the x and y values you wrote down for the top left corner, enter them in

Then click in the key field, and type in mapcoordsmaxs. Then enter your lower right x and y values.
