i want to make a sky texture out of a picture i took with my digital camera. downloaded wally and gimp but never used them and didn't make a own texture at all (none that can be tiled) so can anyone tell me what tool to use and maby some url to some tutorial?

i have it but didn't know u can do that with it - i have to admit that i'm not experienced with this standard of graphics software - always was pleased with my picture publisher or some other simple programs. photoshop and corel have so many functions that everything is even more time-consuming...
so do u have accidently some tutorial on photoshop-texture-making in your hand? ;o)

Hmm there should be tutes if you do a search. I am still learning it but I can tell you that it is by far the best tool for doing graphics work. Buy a book if you can find one, its well worth the time spent studying it.
