Well it began about 30 mins ago with a few explosions in baghdad apparently and some radio messages. Nothing else has happened according to the media, im guessing this is a quick attack, now there will be a massive wait, i guess it gets the allied soldiers a "oh the wait is over now" feeling, which will help. I posted on news best of luck and whatever your views on the war, personally im for it and against it, the troops are stuck out there worried about support from the people back home (in uk anyway i dont know about other countries) so lets offer them our support , i just remembered my best mates army pals will probably all be there :( hope there ok, best of luck
Yea I hope there are as few casualties as possible, wether brits, yanks, aussies, spanyards, kurds or poles (thats all of them I think?) Hope your friends do allright, this POW buisness makes me sick, I read a book by a guy from your side, Andy McNabb actualy, who was captured by them and it makes me wanna see sadam's face on a tomahawk camera right before it blips out. But then again its war, and this kind of thing will happen, I just hope its over quick and the french are allowed no part in rebuilding Iraq or getting the Iraqies to pay their 6 billion dollar debt to france. You should see the number of people who are boycotting french stuff over here, everything from wine to hotels, german stuff too. Cant pull myself from the Dortmunder Union beer, so I guess Im only partly boycotting lol.
It seems from what I see on TV that most of the UK is against the war, do you see that or are they just quoting people who are in the upper sphere of influence and filthy richness?

i saw a show about a man who really admired andy mcnab so he followed that bravo 20 or whatever it is book, he went to the villages etc and where as and said he killed about 200 people reality is they had very little conflict and he made the whole book up, the guy doing the documentary was so upset he stopped half way through the journey, lol, its like one part of the book he goes "before he could think he was on the floor, we killed the other 3 too" it was more like "they gave us cups of tea" honestly, its so untrue that book its a disgrace.
most peopple in uk, dunno, its hard to tell cos we wanna support troops, most people didnt want the war though
wow i saw a documentary where him and one of his teammates were on tv recounting their story. It seemed prety creditable with he number of witnesses, maybee that guy who did the documentary ran into people afraid to talk under sadams rule? I dunno thats interesting.

it was a very laid back documentary, it started off as a journey of admiration, it wasnt a "find out if he lied" type thing, every villagers etc talked, noone was scared cos nothing had happened really, its just as it went on the guy kept meeting many people who had the same accounts but not the same as mcnab, the guy was upset about the whole thing really and realised the book was mainly made up, sure some of its true but so much is fake, if i remember correctly the part at a checkpoint with some police where he said they shot them all is wrong, they just let them go, mainly where he said people shot at them and they killed them, nothing actually happened. According to that documentary, the reason its more believable is the fact the bloke doing it didnt set off trying to say it was fake he was an admirer of the book and a massive fan of the adventure. I guess some of its true and most of its made up, but well most books like that prolly are
Wow, what was the doc called do you remember? Im a bit suprised because I saw a documentary on the History channel where he and a survivor were recounting the events. I was a bit suprised to see McNab's face blacked out, and two other members who it said were still on active duty, but Mcnab is out so it struck me as a bit odd. But if I remember the second book he wrote, he did some undercover work against the IRA so maybee he has good reason to hide his face. Then again who knows like you say it would be difficult to ever know for sure how accurate his story is, either way he has brass balls for being able to stay alive in Iraqi prision for so long.
