Ctrl+shift+tab for going to actual camera position with all views is definitely great on its own!

yeah they do, i didn't see any obvious bug yet and it seems to me that radiant got a bit faster as well!

Eyes on one today, now after 8hs of trying to get nice lighting in my map, no, in one very small room, with this 11/12 verson Im going to join him.
This sucks
There is no model lighting from entities, light juniors are all or nuthing. Theres a conflict between a textrue and by one of the models im using that makes 10% of one texture full bright while the rest light correctly!!!!

Tomorrow I install the whole sodding lot again (old version).

do u mean me ? hehe, im just so infuriated by the spawn bug and the fact i couldnt have the forward spawn and the way the easygen hedl up my map. Im compiling yet again, plus i really wanna play splinter cell i havent had chance yet, i just want the sodding second spawn to work!

I went back also...the memory needs of 1.2.5 or whatever is way too much.

Im back to .38 and noticed some errors with the lighting, oh well, at least I can compile now.

im using the new radiant though and even though many people have said it doesnt, it makes water disapear everytime just like the .11 .10 didnt, bit annoying at times.

Yer, has that problem with it as well. My problems realy start when I open rad for quake, I have over 300 light entites in my q3 map and now not one of them lights any models and they now all work completely diffrent to before.
Im not a happy bunny.

Im almost gawd damn done !!!!!
You know how hard it is to make a damn waterfall!!!????
My map is already at 9 megs, not includeing texture file.
Im glad im not getting memory errors on my 256 cheapo ram.

But its like my dad usedta say
" if it isnt broken dont fix it,
if its old its dependable,
if its new, wait till your neighbour gets it and watch to see if its worth it then use his."!!!

Im sticking with .38 and old radiant.Dependable and used.

well maybe its my graphics card but water doesnt appear, or rather i think it appears at first, but if u turn off radiant come back its vanished, or rather its there but camera anit drawing it.

I never can see it either but I know its there.
Something about transparent textures it doesnt like.
Try doing a waterfall...it took me 3 damn days just to get the water and mist to scroll the right way.
But oh well, with practice comes patience.

Actually, I haven't tried water in it yet, but the "skip" texture shows up just fine. I think that's the only transparent texture I have.. Anyway, off to search the forums.

for some reason i can't get gtk.12 up and running right
although i think i'v done it right like the others any help?
some one post all the steps required to update .11 the right way.
i acually know quite a bit about mapping but i'm stuck here.
it would be a great help.

uninstall rtcw, anyother games that rad's picked up on (they will be listed in the opening window for radiant). Dont for get patches for games, some like q3 you have to remove it bit by bit.
Remove all versions of the editor and updates.
Reinstall wolf and all patches upto 1.41.
Install .11 full verson and update to 12:)

That's funny, I didn't have to reinstall everything when I upgraded. If there is a .12 full verson, I'd uninstall GTKR and do a full install, though upgrading may be easier for some.

one thing that annoys me is wildwest mod, i need it in for some reason for the map models, but its got a wierd installer and frequently it just comes up when im starting other programs like splinter cell and this wave maker tihng and other things too, quite annoying i have to click cancel tons of times before it goes off. ah well
