Unreal 2 no good! ?

Unreal 2 came out in uk today and i thought, ohhh ill get that, and then i checked reviews and the highest i saw was 75% all those years to make that game and its rubbish? apparently theres just no decent story, how could they spend so much time making a sp game and not bothering to include a decent story!

Also i saw some more shots of enemy territory, i think the new hud looks unsuitable and i cant stand it, the more i think about ET the more i can see its not a game in its own right its just rtcw with new classes, there using the same engine and everything else from rtcw and calling it a new game i cant remember anyone doing this before, it should be an add on.

One game im now looking forward too after not taking notice is splinter cell, after watching a video for that, if that has a good mp mode it could be right up there in the most played mp games, but its more the sp side that looks good, doesnt come out till feb28th here even though i saw an adverts saying "out janaury" which was annoying when i saw it indeed wasnt.

what the hell ever happened to duke nukem forever? Speaking of unreleased games they have had 5 years to make a new halflife and they havent bothered. They have had also a long time to make condition zero, and now apparently scrapped the full game, i always thought that czero would be crap anyway, making a game in 2003 on that engine with nothing new or interesting is just cashing on in cs success, imagine if it wasnt cs related it would sell just as poorly as all those other rubbish ct/t fps games.

Anyway phew! just had to get that crap of my chest! also we have ordered a 1mb cable line!!! wooooo! i may finally be off the 56k! omG!!!!! :D

I wasnt impressed with ut2003 either.
I used to map for deus ex, and was really looking forward to deus ex 2, but then they said no multiplayer with that one, which sux, and is a loser product now.

Actually cant think of any game thats worth spending my good money on.

I saw take Raven Software have been given Quake4 to play with so I got that to look forward to (so long as they keep the railgun, I like railguns:D )

dude, DOOM3 does look good. I will definately check it out.

UT2003 does suck, i done seen it. So desappointing. The graphics are really good but it is not very original and the creativity sux.

I have splinter cell, and the sp action r0xx0rs! it is a beautiful looking, well-thought out, challenging game. Its pretty fun:D

Might try to download Unreal2 just to see whats it about. I do like the Unreal games.

AS for Half-Life 2, That would be nice. I am not sure how it would compete with Doom III (saw working demo for it) Or if its been to long to make a comeback.

As for Doom III, there is no mention of multiplayer or mapping for it. The movements are going to be pretty basic also. I can't judge it, but I am not very impressed so far.

I think the graphics look good but since there offering nothing new and have said its mainly indoors narrow crap it will have to at least have a a good story and be scary, scary fps games? i can only think of system shock 2, its very hard to do, so i guess they wont bother with that and itll just be blasting monsters and getting keys and surely itll have a deathmatch, to be honest single player wise if the story isnt good it doesnt matter how good the graphics are although they can now learn for unreal 2, it might be better if doom 3 was just multiplayer really, but then again d3 will probably be another ..........duke nukem forever, halflife 2, deus ex 2, tfc 2, cs 2, h+d2, halo, quake 4, ..............never see the light of day on the pc :p

I actually read a story about the editor they are using for Doom 3 its a brand new one similar to gtk but it has real time lighting and other things, looks awesome.

ohh yeh, i remember its true, that doom3 demo that was leaked has the editor with it i saw some guys saying they could use it but the textures wouldnt load up, u might still be able to find the doom3 leak someplace, prolly 400mb or something, also i seen screens of the editor it looks just like radiant and does have real time lighting, like theres no need to compile, so thats good, be wierd at first though :)
