How do u make a circle like there is on most castles on the top of the four bases?then how do u get a smaller circle shape goin down from it?

well i don't know if i understand you right but i would say just make a cylinder with end caps and then make a smaller cylinder and connect it to the bigger one... is it that u wanted to know?

You can make a brush rounded like a cilender or cone. Just hit the brush menue and select what you want.
+btw+ 8 sided doesnt look very rounded I usually hit arbitrary sided and chuse 12 sided.
