Hey..

Waz up !!!!!

I'm back and I want to do another map.
Incase u forgotten I did the map USS ATAC.
It was a big hit with many downloads.
But I need to get this idea out of my head and into the game.

Glad to see everyone is still around.

Right on my brothers !!

I'm starting with terrain.
I have to learn that easy gen, so expect lots of questions !!!

1. I just downloaded the new radiant 1.2.11...is there anything I should know???

2. Is the default q3map2 good ??

3. Is it true, mappers have the biggest dicks and make the girls go crazy??

1. dont use it, its got some silly bugs like no draw brushes invis in camera
2. with 11 comes a new q3map so its fine, just keep up to date

Damn...how do I get back 1.2.10.
I lost all my hard drive and radiant went with it.

Hey eyeronik..ur answer to 3...just say a " hell Ya !!"
Us mappers need to stick together and give ego boosts now and then.

You will have to reinstale or edit any shader with qer_trans
so it has // infront of it.

"//qer_trans .5"

So is that all thats wrong with it..transparent textures???

And to fix it all I need to do is edit the shader script?

I downloaded both..1.2.11 and 1.2.9

I have forgotten which q3map2 I used with 1.2.9 and how to set it up.

But if thats all thats wrong with .11 I would rather use that.

Question.

In radiant..the number text for size and grid are sooo small..how do I get it big like i used to have it?

1.2.11 does have problems with textures that have the qer_trans in the shader showing up in the 3d window. most water textures but not all of them. I suspect that its a combination of things in the water shader that cause this, then again I have herd others have a problem with them showing up at all.
1.2.11 is a great editor if you can just get around this little problem. you can also change the open gl settings in the options and they will show up, but may get ugly results...

Not bad thanks.
Still goy me head on me shoulders so mustn’t grumble, the rest of the time I got it in a map.:)
Not used the new rad' but the q3map2 works ok.
BSP /> -meta
VIS /> normal
Light /> -fast -super 2(+ patchshadow if needed)
