Interesting...I know very little about this program except that I own CPSP and I recieved a news letter, so I clicked it to see what the "big deal" could possibly be about. Another hybrid proggy, but I wasn't expecting to see that.

I'll respond to this thread now since I'm downloading the SDK right now. I played around with the Unreal Runtime program, but got a weary of the iffy editor controls despite the extensive tutorial documentation that can be found. If this prog/package is more robust (as it looks to be), I may pass by the learning curve with less skepticism this time.

I always liked planes (history/technology) more but making a model tank forced me to look into that world a bit deeper. I'll take a look at the beta, but looking at the screens it looks like order of war game graphics, in which case would most likely bog down my mid 2000's era system.

Failed module on open application, will have to download it later again. Que cera...it looks promising, nice gui during unpack phase.

I'm going to go eat some imitation frosted mini-wheats instead then.

I was very surpised with udk, had a play with it back in 2004 and really could not get on with it, but this new one is just so much more refined and user friendly. With all the documentation and the Speed Tree modeler (comes with UDK) its quite a package. Plus, if you wanted to make your own game with it, a licence for a hobbiest is £99 (they also ask for 25% roylties).
Cant knock that deal.

Yeah this beta vers doesn't want to play for some reason. I d/led twice now. It should work, but I'll tap into this again maybe a new directory or vers. soon it sounds like there is some depth to this prog that I may want to get into.
