--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
anyone know if it's possible to make an animated texture? i noticed the cobwebs in the single player game move in a wispy fashion at points, but i don't think i've seen it in a multiplayer level (for lag reasons i'd guess). i assume making an animated texture is possible, or perhaps requires scripting? i had an idea to make an alpha texture that was animated to simulate a dense cloud of mosquitoes. thanks for any help.

i waz tryin the same thing a bit back but gave up
(just wanted to c if i could get waggytail in )
some of the anim_shaders crash the map so first off find an anim that dont (this is where i gave up i waz using a doggy flame as an example i think)
as far as i can c an anim will rotate 8 tga piccys and for the effects u can play arround with the lighting (peaks and troughs)
its in the shader manual under anim
and refer to the working anim_shader script (it should be in the scripts folder of main somewhere)
hope this helps

Of course you can. Just look at any water shader for an example.
