what do u think of wild west?

just wondering what anyone thinks of it, i guess it depends on how you go into it, its been made quick and its been made around the maps in a way, which i dont think are too good looking when you get in game compared to the screenshots. Its got potential but i wonder if its going anywhere and to get more support, i.e more servers it would need to be about hundred times more professional, i guess its a step in the right direction, but not made by a team more a couple of guys made it for fun, i remember a wild west mod for quake 3 that was much more advanced but was never very popular at all, so i guess its more of a fun mod style unless they change there vision so to speak

I havnt looked at it and dont plan to. The wild west theme is not very interesting to me.

Yep i tryed it and to be honest i am seriously unimpressed.. in wolf its really annoying when you run out of ammo and have to resort to pistols only.. and the only guns in this are pistlos ffs, with one or two rifles.. no machine guns whatsoever. and although the voice chats are pretty cool and amuseing all the other sound effects are terible quality.
But anyway lots of respect to these blokes for makeing this mod and if they add a few real guns and some nice sounds i will try it again. but in its current form its just not for me

Well, I have known Hewster for almost a year and have seen how much he has learned to even attempt such a thing. What impresses me is that He started talking about doing a mod and now has gone and put something out you can download and play, unlike so many come and go mod teams. I give a A+ for effort even if western themes is not my thing. He e-mailed me and would be interested in talking to mappers and there working to always improve the mod even to retail quality.

So, its something different which keeps the game fresh....

well maybe it is the 1.4 wolf patch or the 1.13 ww patch
but my wild west mod isn't able to connect to other games

Iv just read its the patch 1.4, it wont let you join a server running any mod. :rolleyes:
